How to add BMW G chassis BDC3 key using Xhorse Key Tool Plus?
Two methods are available:
Method 1: Use an original factory key
Method 2: Use a VVDI BMW dedicated key

Preparation:
- Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad
- Xhorse BMW G series BDC3 IMMO license activation
- MCU Cable & DB15 Cable
- Soldering iron and solder
- Original key & Original Factory Key (or VVDI BMW dedicated key)
Procedure:
Step 1: Read Vehicle Information
Turn on Key Tool Plus
Navigate to:
Immo Programming-> All brands-> BMW-> Select from system-> G/U Chassis BDC3/BCP IMMO System-> Start programming
Click “Read vehicle information.”
Two options can be selected:
Option 1: OBD reads vehicle information
Option 2: Manually enter the vehicle identification
Here take option 2 as an example
Enter the current vehicle VIN code manually
Read data successfully, proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Read Original Car Key Info.
Select “Read original car key information.”
Read the prompts carefully and click “OK”
Check the connection diagram for correct pin positions.
(Note: Cable colors may vary between old and new versions.)
Carefully solder the four MCU cable wires to the corresponding points on the original key’s PCB.
Double-check the wire colors! The MSDA and MSCL wires are especially important—connecting them backwards will prevent success.
Plug the cable into your VVDI Key Tool Plus, and then click the “Read” button to continue.
Save the original key data file
Generate the Service File by uploading the data, then save it.
Step 3: Generate Dealer Key
Method 1: Use an Original Factory Key
Desolder the MCU cable from the original key.
(Tip: Do not pull the cable directly. Use a soldering iron to gently melt the solder, to avoid damaging the original key.)
Solder the MCU cable to the new Original Factory Key.
In Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plusmenu, choose “Yes – Generate using Original Factory Key.”
Load your saved Service File.
Confirm wiring is correct, then click “Write”
The dealer key will be ready.
Method 2: Use a VVDI BMW Dedicated Key
Complete remote generation first
Go to the remote program menu.
Select your BMW model.
Follow the instructions with a VVDI BMW dedicated key.
Back in “Generate Dealer Key” and select “No – Generate using VVDI Dedicated Key.”
Upload the saved Service File.
Put the VVDI key on the tool’s induction coil and begin
Wait a moment until the dealer key is generated successfully
Step 4: Verify Key Function
Unplug and replug the battery after generating the dealer key with VVDI Key Tool Plus.
Then verify the key function (lock, unlock, start)
