Recently, a customer encountered a problem with their OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3. They reported that their Keymaster G3, purchased last September, is now unable to power on. The technician’s initial response was to instruct the customer, based on the following document, to measure the resistance of inductor C75. The customer subsequently reported the following results:



For customers with strong technical skills and the proper equipment, the primary solution is to replace two specific components: the U17 and L8 components. The support team confirms that these individual components can be shipped directly to the customer for a self-repair attempt.
However, if the customer lacks the necessary skills or tools, the safer and recommended alternative is to replace the entire VCI motherboard as a single unit. This avoids the risks associated with intricate component-level soldering. The initial device analysis, described as being in a “no-add” state, prompted this hardware-focused troubleshooting, providing a clear roadmap for technicians to resolve the issue based on the client’s competency.
