Yanhua Mini ACDP BMW FEM OBD Issue Explained

A recent user case highlights an important limitation of the Yanhua Mini ACDP when working on certain BMW models. The customer attempted to reset mileage on a 2014 BMW 320d using the Mini ACDP via OBD but received a prompt stating: “Unconnected device, click OK to exit.”

The reason is clear: the 2014 BMW 320d is equipped with a FEM/BDC module, which does not support OBD mileage reset using Yanhua ACDP2. These vehicles require bench mode or FEM/BDC module removal to perform related functions safely.

This serves as a useful reminder that while the Yanhua Mini ACDP is powerful, certain BMW FEM/BDC systems have limitations that prevent direct OBD operations.
