Problem: The 2015 VW Golf cluster has gone black after using YANHUA Mini ACDP 2 to read the data. Is there a way to fix it? It won’t allow write back.
Solution
1. Restore Original Data
- Go to: MQB48 (VDO/JCI-NEC35xx Lock) → ICP ODO → Step Mode
- Select Step 3: Write Data to restore the original cluster data.
2. Verify Data Integrity
- Check whether the original data is intact and uncorrupted.
- If the data is damaged or abnormal, send it to YANHUA Technical Support for correction.
Preventing Future Issues
- Always back up original data before making any changes.
- Ensure you are using the latest software version of your YANHUA ACDP
- Follow manufacturer guidelines for VW MQB platforms to avoid cluster lock-ups.
By following these steps, you can often recover a blacked-out VW Golf cluster and avoid common pitfalls when using immobilizer and odometer tools.
