This post demonstrates how to use CGDI A2 and CGDI K2 smart key tool to program new key to a 2019 Honda Civic when all keys are lost.
Step 1: Access “Lost all smart keys” feature using CGDI A2
Begin by connecting the CGDI A2 BMW key programmer to the vehicle’s OBD port.
Navigate through the menu: Immo -> Asia -> HONDA -> Model Selection -> CIVIC -> Smart Key -> Button type -> 2019-2020 -> Lost all smart keys
Please Note:
No other smart keys must be inside the vehicle throughout this programming operation.
Having only the new key intended for programming inside the car is essential to avoid failure.
Step 2: Generate a remote key via CGDI K2
Insert the new remote key into the CGDI K2 key programmer’s coil.
Proceed to Chip Identification Copy -> Chip identification.
The system identifies the chip type as 46.
Next, choose “Remote Generation“.
Select HONDA CIVIC ID46 and initiate the remote control generation.
Allow time for the key generation process to finish.
Step 3: Program all keys lost with CGDI A2
Once the new key is ready, get inside the vehicle and press the start button two times.
CGDI A2 tool will ask for confirmation on whether the car powers on; provide the correct response.
While continuing to press the start button, confirm by clicking ‘OK‘ on the tool’s screen.
Let go of the start button and press ‘OK‘ on the tool once more.
Enter the quantity of keys to be programmed (for example, 1).
Continue by adhering to the tool’s instructions to switch the ignition on and off as directed.
Once the instructions are followed, verify the status of the anti-theft indicator on the dashboard. A successful process is indicated by the light turning off.
Conclude by switching off the car and then restarting it within a 15-second window.
Alright! That’s the all process to generate remote and program all keys lost using CGDI A2 key programmer and CGDI K2 smart key programmer.
