This tutorial shows you how to program all lost keys on a 2024 Nissan Rogue using the Lonsdor K518 PRO over OBD, covering BCM connection, reading key IDs, and smart key writing to bring the vehicle back online.
Required Tools
Lonsdor K518 PRO
NISSAN 40PIN-BCM Cable
2024 Nissan Rogue (smart key, push start)
A brand-new smart key to be added
Menu Path
Immo & Remote >> NISSAN >> Select from vehicle >> North America >> Rogue >> 2021-2023 >> Smart key (PUSH button) >> All smart key lost
Function entry prompts (follow strictly):
Unplug the vehicle BCM (gateway/body control module) connector and use the Nissan-40 special cable to connect directly to the BCM.
Press OK to continue.
System reminder: All smart keys will be erased and re-learned; all keys must be programmed in the same session. Confirm to continue.
Vehicle status before programming:
Ignition OFF (do not turn it on)
Hazard warning lights ON
Gear in P or N
Steering column unlocked
Ensure no other smart key is close inside the vehicle
Press OK to proceed.
Read key ID (for the key to be programmed):
Place the smart key to be programmed (logo facing up) flat over/against the ignition induction area (center area of the start button). Ensure the logo end is aligned to the ignition position.
Notes:
Do not move the key during the process
Do not press any button on the key
Do not insert or remove the small mechanical emergency blade
Press OK to start reading.
Sample key ID read result display:
Count of new keys: 1
Count of old keys: 0
Current total key count: 1
At this stage the system reads and displays the bit PIN (required for AKL scenario) and shows: “bit PIN has been read out. It can be used when program key on AKL condition!” indicating PIN retrieval succeeded.
Start smart key programming:
Again follow prompt: place the same (or next) smart key with logo upward at the induction area, keep it still, press OK.
If “Programmed successfully” appears, that key has been written successfully.
If adding multiple keys, repeat placement steps for each; after all done press Cancel to end programming (per device logic).
Success statistics (example):
Count of keys programmed successfully: 1
Functional verification:
Press Lock / Unlock on each key to confirm remote works normally.
Carry each key separately into the vehicle and attempt to start the engine; confirm each can start independently.
After confirming all, click OK.
Important:
Do not exit the current function prematurely. Follow prompts:
Unplug the previously connected 40PIN cable, restore and re‑install the vehicle’s original gateway/BCM connector.
Connect the device via the vehicle’s OBD port.
Turn ignition ON (press start button appropriately) and retest all new key functions (start, remote, passive entry).
If everything works normally, the procedure is complete.
Common notes & tips:
If key ID reading fails: check 40PIN cable seating, power supply, and BCM pin contact.
If programming is interrupted: power down for 30 seconds, restore connections, re-enter All Keys Lost process (already written keys must be re-counted).
Keep any other RF keys over 3 meters away.
If vehicle voltage is below 12.2V, use a stable power supply to avoid BCM data corruption due to voltage drop.
