In this demonstration, the technician successfully generates and programs new smart keys using only Lonsdor K518 Pro, an OBD communication cable, the original vehicle key, and a Lonsdor-produced smart key.
The process begins by connecting the K518 Pro to the vehicle via OBD and selecting Generate Smart Key. After choosing BYD → Destroyer 05, the new smart key is placed in the card slot and generated instantly.
Next, the operator enters the IMMO & Remote menu to read immobilizer data. The original key is placed in the sensing area for data acquisition, after which the system proceeds to Program Smart Key. Each smart key is placed in the sensing area as prompted, and the K518 Pro completes programming quickly and accurately.
Once both keys are added, the technician verifies functionality: the original and new keys both start the car normally, and remote lock/unlock functions work flawlessly.
