KEYDIY KD-X4/KD-MAX can support all BMW BDC2/BDC3/BCP and VAG 5C/5D key cloning function. Check the simple guide and tips to perform this function.
Kindly notice:
1. VAG 5C/5D does not require KD-MP tool.
2. With KD-X4: read original key data & learn key directly.
3. With KD-MAX: read key data via KD-MAX, learn via KD-MATE.
For MQB49 5C/5D:
- Requires MQB license activation(same license as MQB48). No points needed to add keys.
- 5C: supports KD ZB smart keys or original keys.
- 5D: Supports original keys only.
- Both 5C & 5D support second-hand original keys.
For BMW G Series Encrypted Keys (BDC2/BDC3):
- Needs BMW G function license activation
- Don’t need points to generate KD FGB remote
- Need to cost 180 points for original G key generation

Currently, you need to use the wire soldering method with a modified KD adapter to clone VAG 5C/5D & BMW encrypted key (see diagram below). Keydiy will release adapter boards for easier operation soon.
Simple guide to add VAG 5C/5D:
1. Read original key data
2. Generate dealer key and service code
3. Use service code to learn key in car
Obtain IMMO data from working key and read sync data afterwards.
Use Keydiy KD-X4 key programmer to read the CS from the key. With that CS, you can get the synchro from a working key.
Simple guide to read BDC2 encrypted display key:
Preparation:
- Keydiy KD-X4/KD-MAXkey programmer
- Original BDC2 encrypted key
- New original BDC2 key or KD FGB58 remote
- New dedicated wiring harness
- KD G Function license activation
Ensure KD-X4 firmware is updated to V1.52 or above.
