Clone VW Airbag: Multi Prog or CG100?

Today we have a VW airbag to clone since it was water-damaged.

We will use Xhorse Multi Prog and CG100 Programmer for this work, and see which one is better.

If you get CG70, you can do it on bench.

Connect CG100 to the old airbag.

For both pinouts, VVDI’s has better GND and VCC point while CG100’s has better RESET point.

Save D-Flash.

Repair successfully.

Read data again and compare two data.

Some data deleted here.

There is no repair option on VVDI.

Try MCU option.

Read P-FLASH.

Connect Multi Prog to the new airbag.

Read and save all data.

To conclude,

CG100 can repair data and delete crash but it cannot make a full backup because it only gets dflash and pflash, and VVDI cannot do this either.
