TPMS Launch TSGUN vs. Autel TS508

In this article, we will compare two tire programmers — Launch TSGUN and Autel TS508 — to see their pluses and minus.

Work Alone or Not?

TS508 could work alone, and it doesn’t need a tablet or software, but price is double than Launch one.

Is Pre-install Required?

TPMS TSGUN, I like it more because you can program a sensor after tires have pressure; with Autel one, if you have pressure on tires you cannot program sensors.

Launch is what I use most because I don’t need to pre-install sensors on cars. If I forget I can program it on a car.

How they work?

Both are specialists on copying data from cars, and this is how they works.

When you use them on similar cars, they will give you the same ID number of this sensor. Mostly, it will allocate me for five series the same ID number of that sensor, then car will believe its original sensor what it had been there.

Logically, they are not programmers but who clone TPMS sensors. Programmers are OEM tools from factory that can allocate different ID numbers.

Summary:

They have same functionality and both of them make a good work. If you have Launch I recommend this TSGUN; if you don’t have it you must buy separately, just buy this TS508.
