2002 VW BEETLE pin code read and key programming, which key programmer?

Have 2002 VW BEETLE to pull pin code and make a key, couples of car key programmers are tested with luck after failure with several pieces of tools.

Car model and year:

2002 VW BEETLE

Purpose:

Pull the pin code and make a key.

Tools to try and bad results:

  1. Super vag2.0: pulled a 5 digit code from cluster, make the keyFail
  1. FVDI: make the keyFail (Because it couldn’t log on to the immo). pulled a 4 digit code from ecu, Just go to read dash as in miles calibrate and it will read your pin using FVDI. That way you can make sure you got the right pin number. Also if all fails you can use the special function ECU for immo off.

In conclusion: 2002 never had 5 digit Pin, it has either 4 or 3 , Example 376, you will enter in VCDS 00376, Or 2497, you will enter in VCDS 02497. So I assume Pin code form ECu will be correct one.

VCDS: Fail, shows their is an immo since it connects to it.

Tools to try and good results:

  1. Xhorse Iscancar VAG MM-007 OK on Bora 2.0l year 2000pulling pin code and key programming only after 4-5 times.
  1. T300 will work on the VW.100% sure T300 works fine for 2002 Beetle in USA.….. I’ve done it. If you’ve got the software version that lets you pull the PIN using the engine code sticker and you successfully
find the engine code for the car, it works every time. Some of the newer software lacks the engine code feature, or at least it’s buried further, you have to play around sometimes for 30 mins+ but they always work..
  1. Use VAGTACHO. Bettle 2002 has Magneti Marelli CLUSTER. VAGTACHO handle it in a minute.
  1. Read with AD100 through MM5 or VAG tacho both tools give a good pin. Leave the vehicle with the ignition on 1 hour. Then, without switching off the contact, program the key.
  2. On this car always use VCDS , read manual for Immo 3 key adaptation.
