Today, we’re taking a close look at a Mercedes-Benz B-Class (III) W247 OM654DE20 1950 190 MD1CP001 ECU. This is a locked control unit, but with Magic Motorsport KORHEX, tuning it is completely possible! The Flex software we used is V8.24.0.0.
However, there is a small catch that often confuses technicians: the software shows no option to unlock it.

Here is the quick breakdown:
No Unlock Button Needed
This ECU works differently from other locked units you may have handled before. You don’tMask adapter.
When properly set up on your bench, Korhex temporarily suppresses the factory lock, opening a clear channel for you to read and write the ECU.
What Happens When You Put It Back in the Car?
Once your read/write process is complete and you unplug the ECU, it stays locked. The protection stays intact, but your custom file is written!
Right now, this temporary bypass method is the exact procedure required to successfully tune locked Mercedes-Benz MD1CP001 modules.

Mercedes MDG1 Boot Glitch with Korhex
Korhex Boot Glitch and MCU Access Tool enables the Boot Glitch mode for Mercedes Bosch MD1CP001 and MG1CP002 control units.
With the latest Flex update, version 8.17.0.0, Mercedes Bosch ECUs equipped with SPC5777 processors are now supported via Korhex and the EMFI – Electromagnetic Fault Injection technology.
