This article is about to compare several VCIs including VXDIAG SE, Scanmatik… then we will see which one could save your money.
It’s with full license, so I can use for every software. This company doesn’t sell the software, they are for free. It can replace at least other 20 VCIs, and I don’t buy a cheapest one for around 200 Euros for BMW, because you cannot activate another software.
2.vs SVCI J2534 Ford
Not cheap at all from the beginning. With this one you can run Ford and Mazda, also Land Rover and Honda.
But to be able to run 100%, I bought also these 3 j2534 cables. Three cables for Ford, and this one for Mazda.
VXDIAG could replace all of these.
3.vs BMW ICOM
For BMW ICOM they have no difference. Here I don’t speak about original tool.
Then we have the very know cable K+DCAN.
It works on E-series. If you want to make coding on F-series, you will also need this one.
And this one, VXDIAG actually replaces three different VCIs from BMW.
4.vs MB STAR
I don’t have it, but you can use this one – Tactrix Openport. Most use this j2534, this can be used also with PCMflash through OBD. Then for Mercedes you can use this one, also for Toyota, Honda… from all these small things, this one is the best one. Price on it is not high.
Then we still have another – a small MINI VCI J2534. This is for Toyota, but also you can run Xentry software.
The newest driver of VXDIAG will be able to replace this clone. You don’t need to buy a good Renault Can Clip, just have this one
5.Which is Not Replaceable?
This for Peugeot & Citroen is not replaceable at this moment.
Also from Renault link this cannot replace.
6.vs Scamatik2
For tuning by reading OBD both give the same performance, but VCX cannot be used for reading Boot or Bench. I recommend buying the original Scanmatik for Tuning, if you are going to read Boot or Bench, if you want to install different programs for diagnosis, VCX is clearly superior because its drivers can emulate any of those original testers used for diagnosis.
