To AURO Otosys IM100 or IM600 newbies,
This is how to connect UP400 programmer to work with Otosys Im100 or IM600 for programming.
Pls remember the correct connection of the UP400 programmer. The wrong connection will damage the UP400.
DO NOT CONNECT THE UP400 TO THE VEHICLE DIRECTLY.
THE OB26-PIN PORT IS TO CONNECT THE MERCEDES-BENZ INFRARED CABLE.
VEHICLE KEY CABLE, ECU CABLE, MCU CABLE, MC9S12 CABLE.
USE J2534 FOR VEHICLE CONNECTION WITH THE MAIN CABLE.
J2534 CAN BE CONNECTED TO IM600 VIA BLUETOOTH OR USB CABLE.
Why do you need a UP400:
The UP400 is specially designed to read transponder data (including Mercedes Benz infrared smart key), clone and generate exclusive keys, read/write on-board EEPROM data, and read/write Freescale 9S12 MCUs.
By working with diagnostic tool and PC that are both loaded with programmer software, the UP400 can read/write transponder data quickly and accurately.
