Part 1. Why we need an injector cleaner&tester?
With years’ using, dissolve solids will accumulate in the fuel injection system. To prevent the built up of hydrocarbons and other harmful deposits, we may need to clean dirty or clear partially clogged fuel injectors in some cases.
“Some cases” means it might not be necessary unless there are obvious signs of clogged injectors like:
- A rough idle
- Poor acceleration
- High emissions levels
- Car won’t start
Part 2. Tips on choosing an injector cleaner?
- Know your engine
As we talk before, you won’t need an injector until you find your car stalling.
- Follow instructions
Carefully follow instructions of injector cleaner. The amount results in the effect.
- Gasonline or Diesel
Totally different technique of injector cleaners for Gasonline Vehicle and Diesel Vehicle.
- GDI Injector or Not
If your injector is GDI type, make sure the cleaner fully supports GDI injector, part of cleaners support GDI injector, but can not complete full cleaning and testing.
- Incorrect storage
Store cleaners in a safe place, since they are harmful chemicals.

Part 5. How to User a Injector Cleaner&Tester?
Here we take Summary PRO 240 as an example.
1)Clean injector’s outside with gasoline or cleaning liquid before turning on the machine
2)Putting injectors in ultrasonic bathtub after the outside of injector is free of dirt.
3)Turn on ultrasonic system, allowing the ultrasonic energy to dislodge any particles even build-up inside the injectors.
4)Fix injectors on the machine
5)Test injectors for resistance, shorts, and current draw
6)Perform leak test, spray pattern, and flow rate testing on flow bench.
7)The injectors are now returned to the flow bench for retesting of all functions.
