I have not kess v2, I only ktag, but the sw should be the same, and ktag runs very well on 7×64
kess v2 I have it installed and working with windows 7 professional 64-bit
I use them both with seven 64bit for over 2 years and never had problems

Kess V2 Windows XP:
right click installer compatibility mode xp and run as administrator, after install right click exe and add tick to run in compatibility mode xp and admin
Kess V2 Windows 8 64 bit:
Used on Windows 8 64-bit without problems for a reading.
The only thing that you see when reading voltage 0.0 v, but I don’t think depends on the operating system, rather, from the clone
