Autel IM608 Reset BMW E82 FRM Counter and Vin for Lights Not Working

Purpose:

To Reset BMW E82 FRM counter and Vin because lights don’t work.

Tool:

Autel MaxiIM IM608

Procedures:

Step 1. Identify module info

Turn on Autel IM608, Select

Diagnose>>BMW>>Automatic Selection

Step 2. Reset FRM Counter

Select

Diagnose>>Control Unit>>Body>>FRM2 (Footwell Module 2)

Read error codes, and FRM get “Front height sensor defective” and “Rear height sensor defective” errors.

Step 3. Download Data

Go back to Main Menu.

Enter “Programming”, and select “F2 Existing Access”.

Coding & Programming>>Selective Update

On coding, we tick “FRM2 (Footwell Module 2)” and click OK. (Network connection is required)

Download complete and notice:

1)Stop engine

2)Switch on terminal 15 (ignition)

Step 4. Coding

Then coding.

Switch off the ignition by prompts.

Front window regulator initialization

Switch on the ignition by prompts

Go to FRM2 menu on step 2.

Read error codes again, no code.
